The Kansas Automobile Insurance Plan (KAIP)

Insurance companies may deem you too high-risk to cover.

If at least three auto insurance companies have rejected you, there is an option for you. You may buy coverage through the Kansas Automobile Insurance Plan (KAIP).

  • This plan (KAIP) assigns you to one of the insurance companies licensed to sell motor vehicle insurance in Kansas.
  • The coverage provides basic liability insurance required by Kansas law.
  • You can choose optional physical damage coverages, such as comprehensive and collision.

For more information, contact a licensed insurance agent who sells personal auto insurance.
